I'll explain a little background of the establishment of the Pancasila monument.

Monumen Pahlawan Revolusi dibangun atas gagasan Presiden ke-2 Indonesia, Soeharto. Dibangun di atas tanah seluas 14,6 hektar. Monumen ini dibangun dengan tujuan mengingat perjuangan para Pahlawan Revolusi yang berjuang mempertahankan ideologi negara Republik Indonesia dari ancaman ideologi komunis.

Monument of Heroes Revolution was built on the idea’s the second Precident of Indonesia, Soeharto. It was built on a land area of 9 hectares. This monument was built with the aim of considering the struggle of Heroes Revolution strive to maintain ideology of the Republic of Indonesia on the threat of communist ideology.

Monumen yang terletak di daerah Lubang Buaya, Cipayung, Jakarta Timur ini. Di sebelah selatan terdapat markas besar Tentara Nasional Indonesia, Cilangkap, sebelah utara adalah Bandar Udara Halim Perdanakusuma, sedangkan sebelah timur adalah Pasar Pondok Gede, dan sebelah barat, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah. Musium ini berisikan bermacam-macam hal dari masa pemberontakan G30S - PKI, seperti pakaian asli para Pahlawan Revolusi. Museum Pengkhianatan PKI (Komunis), Sumur Tua tempat membuang jenazah 7 Pahlawan Revolusi, Rumah Penyiksaan, Pos Komando, Dapur Umum, Mobil-Mobil tua peninggalan Pahlawan Revolusi dan Museum Paseban

The monument is located in Lubang Buaya, Cipayung, East Jakarta. In the south there is the headquarters of the Indonesian National Armed Forces, Cilangkap, north is Halim Perdanakusumah Airport, while the east is the Market Pondok Gede, and west, Taman Mini Indonesia Indah. containing an assortment of things from the rebellion G30S - PKI, such as original clothing the revolutionary heroes. Museum of Betrayal PKI (Communist), old well where throw the bodies of 7 Revolutionary Hero, House of Torture, Command Post, Commercial Kitchen, Old Cars Museum relics Heroes of the Revolution and Paseban Museum.

Sebelum menjadi sebuah museum sejarah, tempat ini merupakan tanah atau kebun kosong yang dijadikan sebagai pusat pelatihan milik Partai Komunis Indonesia. Kemudian, tempat itu dijadikan sebagai tempat penyiksaan dan pembuangan terakhir para korban Gerakan 30 September 1965 (G30S/PKI).
